These medium density concrete blocks consist of up to 90% recycled raw materials, making them among the most environmentally friendly and sustainable building blocks available.These high-quality blocks consist of a mixture of quality lightweight aggregates and are fully adaptable for all construction methods for housing and industrial buildings.Insulite blocks are manufactured to BS EN 771-3 and are ISO 9001 Quality Assured, ISO 14001 Environmentally Certified and hold BES 6001 ‘Excellent’.Insulite is also available in two finishes, the ‘Standard’ texture finish provides an excellent surface for mortars, renders and plasters, whereas the ‘Premier’ close textured finish provides a smoother surface, making this ideal for internal paint-grade applications.Medium-Dense aggregate blocks made at our Sellite Blocks Ltd division are known as ‘Thermal’ blocks and are identical in every respect to Insulite blocks.APPLICATIONSInner and Outer leaves of cavity walls up to 3 storeys (7.3 N/mm² or above).Internal partition walls.Block and beam floor infill (7.3 N/mm² or above).Walls below damp-proof course (DPC) (7.3 N/mm² or above).Acoustic separating walls to Part E of the Building Regulations and Robust Details.‘Standard’ texture finish provides an excellent surface for mortars, renders and plasters.‘Premier’ close textured finish is suitable for internal paint-grade applications.
